    Dear Members,

I tried to do my homework looking at several 30CH sales here and on other places but i have to confess that i am a little bit lost. The price range is so huge that i can't find a real fair price range. I understood that water resistant model with round pusher are more expensive, but it is quite all i have. This one is a flat pusher 30CH in YG. I find the condition fair even is the crown appears to be not original (or not sign at least). The more important, the dial appears to be original and not refinish but spot are homogeneously dispersed all over the dial (i like it). Now i would like to have some expert feedback on this one about condition, authenticity and if possible a fair price range if you would have to buy it...

Thank you very much for your help!

Is the case back signed ?
Is the diameter 34 or 36 mm ?
    I would pay around 2.5 k !

Yes, considering the missing original crown which is very difficult to find and specific to the model, the condition of the dial, the probable service ....
Imagine yourself trying to sell it in 48 hours and how much you will get for it.

I believe that the running seconds hand may be incorrect. The watch has a nice original dial and even these later Longines' in-house chronographs are going for serious money but not in this metal. These "non-descript" gold cases are not particularly sought after (yet!) though similar ones have sold for 3-4k on the bay. All in all, a nice watch at <3k.

A 38mm caliber 530 in steel just sold at Phillips:

What do you mean by "non-descript" gold cases? LouS told me about 'french case" , is it the same?

I agree with DD; the OP's most likely is 37-38mm and while neither scarce nor in the finest condition, <3k would IMHO be a buy.

I was simply referring to the lack of case number though I agree that this may be of little importance on a gold case such as this. The "Fab. Suisse" on the dial would lead me to believe that the watch originally went to France and I know that these cases were also stamped differently.

I think it is perfectly correct to have unsigned crown. Mine is almost exactly the same but in PG. Also a no of pic from Carese jp book confirmed that
