Advice needed for two Pie Pan

Hi guys, I was given pictures of two Pie Pan from an overseas seller. Photo quality is not so great (I am trying my best to ask for more) but I would like to seek your expertise on their authenticity, model ref and also the correct type of calibre inside as the old man claimed not having the right tools to open the case back and fearing for damages.

They look similar to me but I can instantly spot that the second one is without the writing of “officially certified”. Many thanks in advance!!

Pie Pan number 1

Pie Pan number 2

My guess the first one Ref. 168.005 with Cal. 561. Dial look repainted. 2nd one Ref. 14902 dial is original, Cal. 561 and the case look like in great condition.

I think you need better photographs of both.

the first looks like it should have lume, has a suspect marker at 3, could possibly be redialled and has different end links.

the second looks to have significant degradation of the dial.

An old man with 2 very similar Connies for sale and bad photographs hiding issues?

Simply amazing that seller can get the bracelets and back of the watches in focus, but not the dials !!!

be very cautious

The end links are wrong, they should not be curved but flat on this model.

PP1's dial looks really off to me (suspect a redial). 3:00 index has been horrendously reglued or cut in. Pass from me.

PP2 seems like it might be an original, early 14902 (head only), but the pictures are really quite terrible. The dial seems original but has a lot of spotting going on without other forms of what I would consider being pleasing patination, so I'd pass. (Unless you can get it for $600. In which case, might make a nice donor for a rainy day)

It seems quite tricky and I will definitely push for more photos of the dial! So for now, with such poor quality photos, we at least conclude that both bracelets are not original?

The seller provided a new picture of the Pan Pie 2. But still it is not very clear.

Move on. Unless it's being offered for less than $1k, IMO it's not worth your time.

The seller’s son will come over to open case back and take better pics. We have not talked about money yet but I sense that it won’t be crazily pricy. I think I will take you guys’ advice that it is an early 14902 and try my best to get info as much as I can to cross check it. I will post the photos as soon as I get it and welcome any comments in the meantime 😀

case is a bit soft - not good but not especially bad
dial is significantly degraded, with missing cross hair and text and a lot of spotting
looks like non-Omega cyclops crystal
movt has had bridge and rotor replace with a non-chronometer version (American with 17 jewels?)

Unless very cheap, its a pass from me

It's still a tired looking watch and will need some parts (movement is a bit of a franken) and a service. You'll still be left with a damaged dial afterwards. This is all not really leading anywhere without knowing a price, to be frank. If this isn't significantly below 1000€ stay away.

A big pass from me. Very tired looking watch that doesn't really have any redeeming features.

Nope…I can tolerate a bit of polish, even a service crown, but on these, it’s all about the dial. Both are too degraded for me.

I reckon most have been said already but the first one has a severly destroyed caseback. Lost all its form.
