Hi All,
I’m planning to get a 198.0022. The movement seems to be in excellent condition by the looks of it. However I would like to know how difficult it is to source parts for the same? Also if you could shed some light on the common components that could fail and where can I source them. Please let me know if the picture of the movement would help.
Thanks a lot

Parts are in very short supply. It used to be easy to find the ESA equivalent movement and either cannibalise it or drop it in as a replacement, those are now also hard to find cheaply. Unless it is running and running well I would think twice personally. A hummer is increasingly a tricky thing to keep happy. My avatar (see left) is a 198.0020, I've had many hummers but I am afraid gave up on them a while back and the picture no longer really represents my collection.

thanks a lot. By any chance, do you know what would be the fair market price for this?

Depends on the model and case metal but a fully working steel hummer with and attractive dial would likely get a fair market offer of $4-500 maybe, ~$100 less maybe for a capped/plated model, lower still for one with issues. There are exceptions, the divers and precious metal versions are worth more, but there is a cap on value that means a solid gold one might only be worth a little more than the scrap value of the metal unfortunately. The sub brand (ie Constellation, Seamaster, Geneve etc) is a bit irrelevant on these as they most have the same spec so don't be swayed by that.
