    Hi,
Looking for my first speedy for a while now.
    Find one who please me.
Serial of Caliber, match with a 1991.
Juste have a doubt about the bracelet. It's a 1499/842, who seems to me would had appear at the end of 90's.
Will (perhaps) be my first Speedy, so wanna be sure of my buy :)
Thanks for your help ans advice, and don't hesitate.

Could you please tell us the serial of the watch?
It looks like 44.xxx.xxx in the pictures, but not sure about this. I believe this to be a 80’s Speedy, as it has the following: long S and R, big size Tachymetre, serifs on bezel, tritium dial, 861 movement and no serial number on the case. If this where a 44 series, I would date it to a 1981 year model. The bracelet is a newer model. Better quality pictures helps us also to help you more in detail.

    Thanks
@JanV for your answer. The owner will give me the Caliber serial this evening. Didn't knew that some didn't get the serial engraved on the case.

I believe that from around serial 48.xxx forward the serial is engraved on the case, and the dial / hands change to luminova. (Only “Swiss Made” marking on the dial)

Thanks. Not so easy to understand and to find sure informations, and good chronologie. Perhaps should by "Moonwatch Only". Good investment I think!
Do you know if there is a "gap" between SN number series of case and caliber?

It looks like it comes with B&P? What is the seller asking as a price?

Dial is early 80’s actually September of 77 to mid 80’s. DNN bezel is also correct for this period.

44m serial as it reads to me puts it in that time period. This is not a 91.

There is a warranty card with the set what does it say?

@Foo2rama , indeed i asked a pics of the warranty card, waiting.
@JanV the owner don't have the tool to open. He think the Number is 48299517, seing the pics.
    On ilovemyspeedmaster.com, said August 93.
    If it a 4825 instead of 4829, can match for a 91.
    He asked 3300€ for it.
He send me many pics really close of the dial. And video of it, he made this morning.

So, no case SN engraved before 48.xxx.
So, no SN on warantee card before this period?

*In all case, thanks to all for your advice.

You can also buy the Moonwatch Only app! This gives some quick help sifting thru the massive data of different Speedmaster versions.

As I look at it again 91 with 48m serial makes sense. It does look like a non seriph DNN from 90-95.

Do you have better photos, the serial is present here on your watch but now I can’t see this clearly enough.

Thanks, with my lil' knowledge, I think as you. Except the bracelet which not the original one, more modern here, think the watch is ok. Bezel, Dual, Tritium, caseback.
The box, sur-box and manual looks really clear too.
And for the SN on waranty card about non engraved case (before 48.xxx.xxx) never knew and notice about that. Someone knew it or can confirm?

Too low resolution, but after verification with the seller, the bought date is 15/08/90.

I’d not be worried about lack of serial on the case. It’s was near then they started doing it.
