Hi,

I just bought this omega 162.009 from a local dealer and it was not working. I sent it to change de acrylic and for lubrification. Its runnig great now. I also changed the crown for one with the omega logo, supposedly original. Do you guys have any idea if the dial is original? Seems so to me. I am from brazil, where the red star came in some models, but i couldn't find info about this one. The photos with the black strap on the watch are after the repair. Thank you in advance.

Some minute marks seem to have different sizes. The Swiss made logo appears weirdly tilted as well.

The watch looks like it was put together from pieces of various watches. That dial is just wrong and is not from a Teddington Model as shown below:

I do not know if of any genuine automatic Omegas with the red star dials.

It looks badly repainted to me, I'm afraid.
You are right! The omega letters seem too thick from the ones I looked after. Thanks

The swiss made mark is fine to me (centered at least). It was the photo i guess. But after what you said, i realized the 12h mark was reglued a little to the left. Thanks!

I read somewhere that there were some models beside de teddington with the red star. But it was just a members opinion in the forum. Nothing concrete. I´ll try to find a original dial now to replace this one! Thanks!

The dial looks a bit like an attempt to reproduce one of the original dials for the reference engraved on the caseback.

The Omega vintage database has that reference (162.009) as (among others) a Genève.
