I know I'm over a month late here, but this story just makes my day. Nice get @kov! Gives me hope for finding something like that myself one day.

Since it's been a few weeks, can you tell us if the boutique serviced it or if you had to take it elsewhere? Do you have it back in your possession yet or are dancing back and forth in anticipation waiting for the service group to call? ;)

It’s with me since early January and I am not intending to service it now. It came with 5 years warranty, will eventually let them service it before the end of the warranty period and return it to me like new. After all, it’s a modern watch.

Congrats! I personally think that it is in the top 5 most desirable Speedmasters to have :)

Love your find my friend ! The Apollo-Soyuz is a very unique watch considering the materials they used. Reminds me of the "Moonwatch" Romain Jerome made a few years back, using moon meteorite dust for the dial. It's really nice to know some part of your watch is truly coming from space.
I hope Omega will use something similar for the Apollo 11 50th anniversary watch, like Beta cloth for a bracelet, or flown metal for the dial... Let's see...

Well that didn’t take long, had some paint residue on my wrist today after removing, paint came off in exactly where you stated, along the rays of sunlight. Oh well, can’t be perfect forever! ;)

Wearing one today from my good friend @dougiedude It is an amazing watch that has to be fully appreciated in the metal IMO.

Any idea why the dial and hands on this one look like it is chipping away? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Spee...yuz-35th-Anniversary-Chronograph/273680435549Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

The back of it shows the wear and tear that repoman talked about above with the black enamel wearing away so that's not a surprise to me. The dial and hands I've never seen do that before...

Not sure if that’s just bad photography, case back is disappointing though, that would really bug me.

I hope you're right as other than the 10:15 area of the dial the rest are only involving the hour markers. It would be an odd way for a metal/painted hour marker to interact with the oxidized meteorite with no other watch showing that (I believe the subdials are the only untouched meteorite and the rest is oxidized meteorite). I contacted the seller for more dial photos and will update this thread if I hear back.

Apparently at service time omega will replace the case back and reproduce the limited edition number. Always had a soft spot for the Soyuz, I tried one on back in 2010 but just couldn’t justify it at the time.

I hope you will never show me that watch or let me wear it. I have the feeling I may could like it a bit to much and the problem is, it really could fit in my collection . A great modern one

It wears particularly well on the original Apollo-Soyuz bracelet from 1975 ::love::

Also saying "Hi" ... Love the alternate strap looks ... thanks!

I managed a recent reasonably sharp iPhone picture so sharing is caring :)

Lovely watch. I was trying to buy one a while back and suddenly the vendor said he had sent it back to Omega as there was an issue with the case back peeling which he claimed is common. He said he had requested new case back for it and it had to be made as it’s a Limited Edition. Are you aware of this possible issue? I had not heard of it before.
