I’m wearing a Speedmaster 1861 with the Apollo 11 50th bracelet. Great combo but just missing one extra micro adjustment on the clasp to get a good fit. I did some searching on the forum but it looks difficult to get an other clasp on this bracelet. Anyone on this forum who did get an other clasp on the A11 bracelet?

Not an uncommon question. The clasp from the Speedmaster 57 fits ONLY if you can also get the last two connecting links from bracelet and clasp, but they cannot be ordered separately from the bracelet.

The Speedmaster 57 bracelet does have an internal micro adjust, but you need to run end links from either a forstner or US flat link, and images shared here by members make it fairly clear that the end link protrudes from the case noticeably with this fix.

I opted to drill out a third micro position in my bracelet, and it works fine for me.

It is my first Speedy, i hope i will!

Never thought about drilling an extra hole. Which size drill (mm) did you use?

I used a 0.9 mm Cobalt bit made to drill through stainless steel and a mini-drill press. Go slow and low speed and don't be surprised if you break a bit if you do it yourself.

It's likely a jeweler in your area can also perform this task for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself! Once upon a time this wasn't an uncommon modification to have a jeweler do if the clasp didn't come from the factory, although many Omega clasps came with a full series of drill holes for adjustment (see this 1039, MIDDLE bracelet, image credit to @eugeneandresson ) which is why both forstner and Uncle Seiko include so many positions in their "vintage" flat links.

If you have a jeweler do it just specify the bit you need (you may have to provide it).

Erich, i asked my watch maker. He thinks that the difference between the first and the third hole is exactly one link. And asked if this is the right solution. Any thougths about that?

That's very close to accurate- moving from one micro to another is a ~~1/2 link adjustment. In your case, you might be able to move from one hole to the other and either add (or subtract) a link as needed. The issue you might run into (and the one I did) is if your wrist fluctuates in size depending upon season or temperature, you may find you need to add and subtract links and play with the micro to get the right fit. That's why I opted to add the 3rd position, but that may not be the best solution for you.

Check, thanks. I moved to the first hole and removed one link. It was 'just' a bit too tight. With the added link and the adjust on the second hole it was a bit to loose. And because there is in the middle of the clasp more room for an extra hole then at the end, my conclusion is that a third micro adjust hole will work with the added link. I will come back to you when my watchmaker is finished. ;-)
