At his talk at Starmus last year, he presented some of the poems he wrote of his experiences of being an astronaut. I thoroughly enjoyed. RIP Al.

During an interesting conversation, Al Worden told me he had two NASA-issued Speedmaster chronographs but prefered the 60-minutes bezel version he and a few other astronauts received...

Alfred Worden 1932 - 2020

First man to perform a deep space EVA. He walked out into the blackest of nights, earth in the distance. He had quite a ride. I'm happy to have met him less than six months ago, and to have a small memento to his memory and adventure on my wrist daily. Cheers.

Interesting idea to have the inside of the case back signed.

The image you attached is actually that of Ron Evans Apollo 17 EVA. Not having great images from his EVA was one of Al greatest disappointments of Apollo 15. The few images there is are poor quality

Al’s EVA is mostly recorded by artist conceptual drawings most famously the one below.

As I mentioned above, one of Al's biggest disappointments was the lack of good pictures from his deep space EVA. Taking his thoughts into consideration, I created this image to add my artistic take on his EVE from his perspective with the case back he signed for my collection marking his historic accomplishment. When I received his response to the image I was thrilled he thought it was perfect.
