A collector friend decided to unload several of his Rolex and Tudor Subs to raise funds to buy a 6263 Daytona. I decided to purchase his 5513 "meters first" and 1680 with mk! dial. Both are in very good condition with nice patina on the dials and hands. He has another early 5513 with serif dial but we still have not come to terms on the price since he is asking quite a bit due to the excellent condition of the watch. Hopefully, he will relent soon. Great additions to my collection again.

The lovely patina of the hour plots and hands always mesmerize me.

 

Usually I'd go 5513 all the way but I think the 1680 takes the cake here.

 

Both watches look great, clearly they've been taken care of.

But I'm going to go with everyone else, that 1680 is stunning. I would personally go for that.

 

Sorry for my lack of originality but the 1680 is also the winner for me, congrats !
