Hi OF, Early UG chronographs has been my primarily hunting ground, especially the 1940s period. I'm also always on the hunt for mid-late 1930s UG like Contax, Compax 30 or Compur 30. And I'm pleased to say that I was able to acquired the Compur 30 recently. Best part is that I was able to acquired 2 Compur 30, one in black dial, and another in white dial. The white dial is pretty special with the blued steel hands and 'Fab Suisse' signed on the bottom. The black gilt dial is just beautiful, it looks so much better in person and special thanks to @LouS on helping me with it! Based on the serial, both watches dated back to 1938-9. Both has fixed bars and solid gold cases. Interestingly, the white dial case is made by Henri Jeanneret of Peseux that bears the hammerhead 166 hallmark, which also made these cases below, https://omegaforums.net/threads/compax-12510.13036/#post-149178 Will take some more photos when I have time, but enjoy in the meantime. I know vintage glossy black gilt dials are special but I’m always partial to white, so elegant and beautiful.
Both watches are extremely lovely and hard to say which one I would pick if I had to.. What I really love about these is the spectacular patina on the golden cases. I love that!
