Great case hands appear correct based on google search as these had some variation but I found 4 with matching hands.

Running 1 year warranty. Case is used but not polished with crisp edges and in good shape.

I don’t know much about these and sales history is a little thin.

What would you pay for it? Asking is $700

You know, I like that and I don't think $700 is a bad price ... to start negotiations at. 😉

The only issue with the 214 (and it goes for the 218, F300 and all their ilk) is that they're swines to find a good repairer for once things go awry. I've sunk almost the asking price of this watch into a rebuild. Bearing that in mind, I'd just warn you do all your due diligence making sure that it's in good mechanical order before you buy. A full rebuild with just a couple of parts can cost you $500.

(I still like it, though).

It’s a pretty piece with a 1 year warranty. Slight minute hand damage though.

Is the bracelet signed either Bulova or Accutron? Vintage bracelets are going for stupid amounts of money right now. I like it, but I'm not sure you'd ever convince me to go over $500

The deep seas def trade higher than regular 218s. If this is verified serviced with a warranty I would say $700 is right around there. Bob Piker for example retails then for around this price.

Make sure the bezel turns. I had one that didn’t and it could not be fixed. two people looked at it

Which bracelet is more sought after?

That one looks right, although it has a different hand set and bracelet to mine. $700 (US?) seems high to me, but if you're sure it's serviced...
Be aware that there is no guarantee the gasket is the crown isn't dried up. Mine was and so it steamed up on my wrist on a hot day. It's bloody hard to find a correct replacement crown. I did, but I still don't know if it'll seal reasonably well because it's with my watchmaker for other minor work. I probably paid $400US-ish for mine a year ago.

During this time it seems Bulova put together watches with whatever was available in the parts bins. These Deep Seas had several hand varieties. As far as bracelets, i think it was often "Which bracelet would you like for your new watch, Sir" at the jeweler with total disregard of what it shipped with.

I really wouldn't worry about either thing. They won't affect that value because no one has any idea what was original or not.

I wasn't saying the hand set or bracelet were incorrect @ac106, just noting that the parts in my example are different. I've certainly seen both types of hands on this model.
