This is a long shot but does anyone have or know where I can find an Accutron 214 battery hatch cover? Perrin's in Toronto hasn't had them in decades and on ebay they're selling for $50 to $60 CAD plus shipping.

If you find one, before you commit to it, make certain it has the internal spring contact for the cell. It is a separate piece, and can fall out. The hatch cover shown in the link doesn’f have the spring!
That's a good point Canuck and looking online they can be bought separately and then the gasket would be needed as well. I went to the Dashto site and they have them but the site is closed for a medical issue.
I have a big box of 214 spares somewhere... so I might have the spring. Do you know the part number ?
This is what I have. I have so many watches lying around I might have an accutron with a spare cover too. I'll take a look.
Thank you for posting this Al. I've bought parts from Tom and Debbie over the years and they were always very helpful.
I don't know the part number unfortunately. The watch is a 214H circa 1965. Thank you for looking w154.
I posted this same question on the Canadian Watch Collectors board and a fellow member directed me to someone who does Accutron repairs. He sold me a complete hatch with spring and gasket and it will be shipped this weekend. Thank you to everyone who posted here with your ideas and a big thank you to w154 for your offer Now I have to wait until the cover arrives to see if the movement actually works.
