I'm trying to get accurate information and value in its current condition? 1970s International model?
34million serial places it @1972. Gold plated ladies model it appears with a dial that has been heavily damaged.
pretty sure being that it's almost 30mm wide, its unisex & Jfk wore one very similar. & that cal. was not used only in woman's models, it was used in international models of both genders. and yes, obviously the dial is damaged.
The case code means that it's a ladies watch, they didn't make "unisex" watches in the 1970s. 511.xxxx = Ladies watch. Manual winding. Non water resistant. A worn gold plated case, the damaged dial and lack of an original strap/buckle means that the watch is worth very little above what the movement is worth. A recent sale for a stainless steel one in excellent condition fetched $167. A NOS stainless steel one in pristine condition is asking $689.
Move along folks, nothing to see here. Just aother hit-and-run run “appraise my watch for me” thread.
Value of watches like this is usually a product of where it is offered for sale, condition, and how many line up that want to buy it. You’ve struck out on all three.
