Accuracy thoughts?

Hi all, after years of wanting one, I finally bought A black 300m and I love it! However I need some advice please? I don’t know if I’m being unrealistic as I haven’t owned a mechanical watch in 40+ years but my 300m gains about 8 seconds in 24hrs whilst being worn most days for at least 5 hours.

The downloaded certificate says “ average daily precision” is 4.9 secs with the test limit as 6 secs and “deviation in six positions” as 8.9sec with a test limit of 16 secs?

I’m not really sure what the six position test is about and is 8 seconds a day when being used acceptable??

The wearing pattern you describe, could be part of your problem. You say you wear “most days, for at least 5 hours per day”. Try wearing it 24 hours per day after setting it to the second with a reliable time source, and report back to us.

Try to test all positions over a 6 day period: winding full, leave it for 24h in dial up and measure the gain/loss, repeat for the other positions and take the average to see if it's 4.9s. When you know which position counters your daily gain on the wrist you can balance it out with overnight resting in the "loss" position.
