Does Omega list accuracy specs for their quartz models? What might be a reasonable range for the 1538 movement? Thanks.

Never mind...found it on Omega's website. -0.5 to +0.7 spd.

In practical terms, I have never seen one run slow, so although it's possible, every one I have ever had in the shop has run slightly fast. As you can see the new 1538 movement I installed in this SMP last week is running considerably better than the tolerances you suggest:

I've seen some of the smaller ladies movements like the 1424 run as fast as 0.6 per day, but for a 1538 they are usually much better than that. I went through a few results from watches I've had in and never saw a 1538 over 0.3 seconds per day fast, and most were under 0.2.

    Cheers, Al

Thanks for that, Al. I've kept track of one over the past month, because it seemed to be gaining more than my other 1538. Turns out, it's at 0.3. Not as good as my Breitling. But it's as good as an atomic watch...compared to my Citizen Eco Drive.
