Hi gents, A386 for sale on chrono24. I have doubts about matching parts... do you have a clue ? is is a franken ? https://www.chrono24.ch/zenith/el-p...tm_campaign=SavedSearch&utm_term=AdHeaderlink
IMHO it could be a legit Mark II - it has got the groove and a plain case back - and the E from El Primero is very close to the subdial - something that is often seen in Mark II's. I believe the seller wrote 1. series because of the plain case back. Maybe he was not aware, that there is a Mark I without a groove. p.s. I do not know the seller - the above written is just my thinking, which can be wrong
The watch to me looks all correct for a Mark 2. Correct crown, subdial hands, correct hour minute hands, original sweep second hand. Do you guys think it is wrong? Case back is a Mark 2. Flat case back with serial number of 706D***
What about the watch is causing your doubts? It's not a mk1, more likely a mk2 -- what is the caseback #?
buy it with confidence, is a very very nice mk2 ! have you never seen a FRANKEN?? pls before to wrote balls, read and look here and in the www GIGI
thanks guys, I tought the case was Mk3 and the caseback a mk1, which raised doubts. i am still not an expert, reason I created this thread it turns out it i a Mk2 then...
it is a all correct MK2, and in very good conditions it seems. The only only think I am not 110% sure is the central red paddle chrono hand...it could be a service one, relumed to match the color of the rest of the lume. But it could also be original. Eitherway it is a very nice example, probably also priced relatively OK for what has been seen lately.
