    Hiya,

I am eyeing the A384 revival and read/watched a lot of reviews.

The watch and the movement are stunning. I am just wondering if there are anything I should watch out for when I make the purchase.

So far I have come across some reports of the EP movements having trouble resetting the hour subdial.

Are there anything else or any quirks I should be aware?

The EP movement has been around for 50 years and there is nothing in the new ones that I am aware of that you need to worry about. They do need regular maintenance and it is not cheap. Be prepared to spend $500 to $700 every 5 years if you plan on keeping it. They take a big hit on resale value because of the maintenance costs. Lots of people tend to buy them and then sell again to avoid the service bills. I own 2 of these and really like them but I wouldn't use one unless I knew it has been serviced. Parts are expensive and hard to get for independent watchmakers. The A384 reissue is a classic, especially with the reissued ladder bracelet.
