I have been on the hunt for a particular Bell-Matic 4006-7000 for quite some time. Not too difficult you say as they made lots of them but there is one that they made very few of馃榾. Just a tad excited::psy::

Unfortunately the dial has been redone and is incorrect. So the hunt is not quite over.

This is the special bit馃榿

And that all important dimple馃槈

Pretty chuffed to get at least this far.

Do you have a YouTube link for the sound it makes, I鈥檓 curious as to whether it is more like a bell or rather a vintage JLC style cat farting noise

Going by the information collected by Mr Hiroshi HIRAI HH Alarm_Fan on Twitter, less than 3,000 were made and less than 20 have been documented by the serial numbers.
6N53883 6N53978 6N54004 6N54109 6N54110 6N54172 6N54308 6N54326 6N54405 6N54420 6N54592 6N54605 6N54641 6N54732 6N54799 6N54897 6N54986 6N55053 6N55063 6N55076 and now mine 6N55019

The Dolphin Bell also has other differences compared to the later 7000,a notch in the case around the alarm button, changed in February 1967,Longer "long tail" Alarm spring ,
Dimple in the button for the alarm and the DIASHOCK dial that was changed in February 1967.

The planets have aligned and all is now well in the universe馃榾
Through an incredible stroke of luck within a week of me purchasing the watch, what appeared to be a Franken (more about the Franken later) popped up on ebay with the correct Diashock dial. With the help of a friend the watch was secured and surgery performed.

The hunt is now on for the correct bracelet which I don't expect to find anytime soon.

But for now, very, very happy馃榿

The back story on the Franken is that I don't think it is a Franken but rather a watch with the wrong case back. After inspection the movement is the correct movement for a non dolphin back diashock dial and every thing else on the watch places it to be an early 67 with a 74 case back.
So, the search is not exactly over and I am now looking for another Diashock dial and very early 67 case back馃榾
Cheers

I believe it should be a Stelux "chiclet" bracelet like below.

Hi.
Mine says hello.
And there is a photo of my case back.
And I love wearing this watch.
