I think the idea is that if the hands moves in the opposite direction you should run for cover.

 

The seller is quite good at saying it is an utter Franken without actually admitting to it!

They did these dials so the pilot doesn't get confused in case their airplane is spinning counterclockwise on its way to a meeting with the ground.
