    Dear Speedmaster forum

I am absolutely new here. I have a fantastic example of a 145.012 of 1968 and am enormously proud of course of it. With pleasure poste I, as soon as I have taken good photos, this if requested here.

But I contact with a question to all Speedmaster specialists:

A speedmaster is offered topically to caliber 321 from 1967. What has caught the eye of me, besides, immediately: The Tachymetrie ring is certainly of later date (of course the bracelet also). But what has struck me only the second time one looks: There is not this dial according in the Moonwatch Only book at all, otherwise, also I have never seen such. It is a step-dial. with long indices AND a printed omega logo! … What do you make of it? Is this a fake or an exceptionally rare inter-product? Depending on how your opinion is in addition, I will not probably go offer or just let it be. The remaining time is 7 days. This is why I would be very thankfully around your feedback. Maybe this copy is exciting also for you? I please to hear myself from you.

    Kind regards from Switzerland

PS: Sorry, but this fotos are all i have from the web-auction

Welcome to the Omega forum! I have seen this type of dial a few times, most likely a service dial, which would make the watch worth less than one with a good original dial.

It looks like a serviced watch where almost all the parts that I value have been replaced by "service replacements"

this watch would be valued valued by me based only on the movement and case. The other parts of couse have value, but maybe $200-300 if someone wanted them.

although the dial has T markings, it does not have the applied logo. So it is the same design as the 1969 145.022, but presumably 321 feet.....or not and it has been jammed in regardless. I have seen service dials like this.

Hi and Welcome to OF !!

Yes ... both Tachy & Dial seem to be replacements, which should mean a less expensive watch. But I've found there are some sellers who believe they've enhanced the value (not reduced it).

My opinion as a non specialist ... I would simply walk away, if looking for a nice vintage example to walk out with. This isn't it.

Movement photo is dark but we can see it seems to be Caliber 321. The serial number can tell you if its actually circa 1967. Though not an exact science, SN should be around 24xxxxxxx or 25xxxxxxx, give or take. You can consult your MWO book.

145.012-67 is a good one to chase if this is a starting point, I think

    Good luck in the hunt.

    Dear OF users

A joy to got in this short time already so helpful feedbacks. Completely many thanks! In parallel I have still placed with the doers of "Moonwach only" my question. I would not like to keep their opinion from You:

«Regarding this dial, we saw it 1-2 times on pictures but not in real to analyze it. That's the reason we did not detail it in the book. For us, this is probably a service dial from the 70's but no certitude. Still a lot of things to discover!»

And for everybody which consider it itself to acquire a MWO book to themselves: A magnificent work, every side a pleasure and for the enormern expenditure a bargain!

So again the best thanks and I leaves the fingers of this clock.
    We soon read again...

At least one author of MWO is a member here, speedy4ever, and his book is a great Speedy reference bible. Bible, really, including for the debate that can arise out of it whenever an authoritative tome is given to the hungry masses ;)

As you know ... You may create a new thread for a new prospect you have questions on ... to get views of the OF guys ,..., before you spend cash on a watch, if possible

You may also check out WRUW Today (separate thread showing watches people are wearing) to see amazing vintage and modern watches

    Good luck in your search
