Well, I casually sauntered (madly galloped) up the walkway to meet the FedEx man this morning. The box he was holding contained the newest addition to my little collection, a SS blue dial Globemaster on leather.

I’d like to thank @six-barrel for making this sale and shipping process a real pleasure. I know it was hard on you to part with this one and I’m hoping you enjoy the ALS! For my part, I’ll take good care of the GM.

I’d also like to thank @Longbow for his peerless review of the Globemaster. It wasn’t on my radar before reading his thread and I couldn’t get it out of my mind after.

Whilst Longbow’s photos are brilliant, it is hard to describe or capture just how goddamn beautiful this watch is in real life. A turn of the wrist by a few degrees reveals a totally different, and no less hypnotising dial. Is it black, blue, matte, starburst?

It's amazing how in the first photo the GM appears black, but then in the sun it is clearly blue! Amazing! I was actually looking at the GM with the annual calendar at OB last weekend...

Yeah, he’s a pretty good boy but useless as a fishing companion. There’s not a trout for miles with him splashing about.
