I took a quick surf around and probably missed this info so point me in the right direction if it's easier than answering.

    1) Is it okay to link to live eBay auctions for purposes of authentication?
    2) Can average selling price of a particular watch be openly discussed?
    3) Are there any restrictions on linking or mentioning parts suppliers (ie: OFrei)?
    4) Can we recommend watchmakers and repair facilities if asked?

    Thanks!

    Yes.

    Of course.

No restrictions, so long as it's within context and not outright advertising.

Yes, of course. Same as above

We would only take issue with outright advertising and/or spamming of threads, etc. A legitimate recommendation or review is always welcome here. We have no organisational or financial ties to any particular company. We also don't (and won't) run banners ads or similar.

    Welcome to the forums!

We've only banned two guys, first one created 4 threads trying to sell fake Nike training shoes, second was peddling watch accessories or something, but lied about it and tried to pretend he was a third party recommending his wares rather than just being honest. With that second guy, if he'd just been straight up and made a sales thread in the for sale section, we'd have welcomed him, trying to con or deceive members by writing fake reviews of your own products is another story.

Aside from that, anything that is in the interests of collectors, Omega or other brand enthusiasts, or horology in general is fine and welcome, as are sales ads for watches and accessories. If someone else could benefit from a post in general, its worth having, and things like putting an ebay ad up for inspection / comment definitely counts as that, as do prices, suppliers, and watchmakers.

(basically just repeating what Trev said with some explanation of our motive behind that)
