I've been reading up on Autavias, and there's something I'm not clear on regarding what is and what is not a Viceroy. I've seen versions with a Minutes/Hours Bezel, and one with a Tachy bezel. I think they're the 1163MH and 1163V respectively.

The Hodinkee article on them says that the MH is the same watch, but with a bezel change to differentiate between dealer sold and Vicroy promotion models.

Are they both now considered Viceroys (I see MH models regularly on sale with the listing calling them Viceroys)?

Is one version considered more desirable than the other?

    Thanks!

No matter, we like all watches here.

The Viceroy was originally supposedly meant to come with the tachy bezel, but there are very many out there with MH bezels and chances are they were either sold that way or were exchanged at a dealer for the buyer's preference.

Before the Viceroy, there were 1163MH models which had similar dial colorways, but had the earlier ridged markers and 3-6-9-12 hour recorder; there was also a second execution model with the painted markers (same as the Viceroy) but still with the 3-6-9-12 recorder. These watches are far too rare to suggest that bezels have been swapped, in most cases.
