Normally my better half is self equipped with her own choice of quality timepieces, however when this one came as a parts exchange deal I could not resist it.

Lemania, the company that brought us the finest and most robust tool watches and movements, have a lesser known history of various “normal” and even jewelry grade watches as well. Being a part of SSIH it seems that the access to the Omega “saphette” cases with one of the earliest “scratch resistant” sapphire crystals, was also available to Lemania.
This one has a case dated 1963. Hallmark is the same as for the Omega “Saphettes”. The movement however is a Lemania caliber 55 (AS1012 based). The case reference is 9510-63.

It's Saturday.... Ladies night?

A tiny watch, as were the fashion for finer Ladies back in those days. I think the decorated 18K case has a nice "twist" to it.
Never seen one before, may be I will never see another one again?
