Squirrelled is apparently considered monosyllabic
Makes sense intuitively that a squirrel would be longer than a schlong

That must be because it’s the American pronunciation of ‘skwerl’d’ as opposed to the the English ‘ skweer-all’d’

Here is a game I played in college with my bored, stoned friends before the days of Google- what is the longest mono-syllabic word you can think of ?

Mine was strengths which comes in at 9 letters.

Twelfths only has 8 but similarly has five consonants in a row. I often work with a singer named Blackschleger, a name that features an awe-inspiring string of six contiguous consonants. Her first name, come to think of it, is one consonant straddled by two vowels on either side; if that weren’t enough, her name is probably the least fascinating and gorgeous thing about her.

Tough one - Shlongs comes to mind but I think that is not long enough for your game (also I never know what these slang Americanisms actually mean :0)

Schlonged is a verb where I come from. It usually means something that happens to you rather than something you do to anyone else.

Squelched - that’s another 9, but shlongs takes some beating…
I see what you did there.
