and will love to add more with different dial variations.

Dennis, Gavin using subtle words for Dibs in his sentences, and not so subtle action in pursuing it 😁

That was a nice behind the scenes move, wasn't it?

I've seen dials like that before. Just not in that condition. Not even close. Definitely original.

That's a helluva pick up.

As a relative newcomer here, I haven´t really grasped the concept of DIBS yet, even if I think that it means that you want to take over something that someone else here possess. Is that right? Can you spell it out Dennis?

From Wikipedia:
Calling "dibs" is the US English term for an informal convention where one declares a first claim to something to which no one else has a clearly recognized right. Calling "dibs" is only possible when the caller is able to take care of the claim. Such a declaration is often recognized in certain cultures, or sub-cultures, as a means to avoid arguments over relatively trivial issues.

Dibs can only be called in front of the participants to be considered valid. IE Dibs cannot be called without the presence or knowledge of the other party.

In other words, that person is saying "If you ever sell it, let me know first!".

Just like calling "SHOTGUN" on a road trip. 😜

However, dibs can obviously be called without witnesses if you meet, call, or PM the owner of the watch.

But not valid then according to the all mighty Wikipedia 🤩

In good company:

These early 30mm manual winds are difficult to find in original excellent condition even though they were made in large numbers. Lots of reasons - they are older (late 1930s to 1940s), did not feature relatively newer methods of dial finishing and lacquering, were not really waterproof as we understand the term today, were not valuable at the time of sale so were used and not treated with kid gloves, etc. Sweden is a good source for these watches because of the climate and the above picture bears testament to this.
