Looking for a nice 1039 bracelet with 516 end links for a 1966 165.024. Condition of the bracelet is more important than trying to find a perfect date match.

UK based, but happy to buy from international buyers.

Plenty of feedback on e-bay etc and on TZ-UK as Wallasey Runner.

Many thanks,
Ken

Been offered two 1039 bracelets without endlinks. If anyone has a pair of 516 end links I would be interested in those so I could pair them up with one of the bracelets.

Still interested in the bracelet with the end links together if anyone has both.

Thanks,
Ken

Still looking - any UK or EU sellers out there.

Good price paid for a nice condition set.

Are you sure that there were 1039 bracelets in 1966? I am probably wrong but, the earliest I've seen were 67's

I just reread your post. I see that your are not necessarily trying to date match. Best of luck!.

I'm pretty sure my old 66CB's 1039 was marked 4/66.
Maybe @MikiJ can confirm?

I'm still waiting for the Extract to arrive, but my guess is that the watch will be dated to the first half of 1967.

Ken I see you gave up on the TZ guy asking mega bucks with a comical 'no offers' strapline.

Just get an Uncle Seiko flat link. Better quality than the original for ~£100 delivered. Job done.

Found a really nice 1039 bracelet.

Now looking for a pair of 516 end links. Would also buy a single link if anyone has an odd one in their watch box.

Mustn't be altered. I have seen some that have been filed from 20mm to 19mm to fit an Ed White etc. Presumably a cheaper option than trying to find a pair of Number 6 links.

Decent price paid.

Cheers,
Ken

Yes. I did make an offer and he completely ignored me. Someone is going to have to put those toys back in his pram.

I bought a Snoopy strap and deployant to wear with the watch day to day, but wanted an original 1039 bracelet for some unknown reason.

I went through the same phase but the asking price usually put me off in the end. I think we’ll see a gradual softening of flat link prices now there are good modern alternatives. That’s what seems to have happened with the JB Champion stuff anyhow.

To be honest, nothing wrong with a 1171/633 combo. That's what the Watchco wearers use and they are perfectly good.

Thanks, I think people usually call them NOS and ask double the price

Seriously though, aftermarket or fake - I Think if Omega numbers have been added then they are fakes.
