A pair of often confused Constellations

I have just got back the second of my 2 Constellations from service so I thought a picture showing the difference would be useful. My first purchase was the Calibre 751. My local watch repairer (not Omega authorised) was unable to get the parts to fix this.Late one night I bought a replacement off ebay for not a lot of money only to realise when it arrived it was a different watch with the Calibre 1021 easier to set faster beating movement. Both are now returned to full working glory keeping time to within a second a day. Testament to the quality of the original watch and the skill of the repairer. Great watches and I personally think the integral bracelet design is timeless.

The divider between the day and date is the key to telling these apart quickly...

Are the links rounded on the 045 and flat on the 054 too?

I had one of these which now resides with another member. The fit & finish on these is spectacular, luckily mine had never been brushed/polished so it retained all the original finishes- which is what these are all about.
Sadly, it was just to big and heavy for me- these things are wrist anchors.

Thank you for posting that to help others!

Would you mind telling us what you found out about those differences?

Thanks

I use both watches interchangeably. The 1021 is much easier to set day & date. The 751 has quickset Date but full 24 hour laps for day of the week.
