I found this NOS Seamaster. No big issues. the second hand is a bit bent and touches the markers but overall very nice.

Why is it NOS?

Also another pointless remark from me, coming out of my lack of experience, no idea that they had inscribed caseback on watches of that era

I don't understand your question. i's just oubviously unworn. Immaculate dial and case. not even a hairline. A little variation from what is on the Omega website.

I haven't seen that caseback inscription style before on this watch and I question the engraving method as being from that era.
I hope I'm worried about nothing as it is quite attractive.
Do you have more photo's?

So this is a NOS watch with a bent seconds hand and wrong crown?

I don't understand your question. i's just oubviously unworn. Immaculate dial and case. not even a hairline.

Sorry, doesn't compute.

Hello ConElPueblo. What makes you think the crown is wrong? As for the second hand I slightly bend it while servincing the movement. Tha can happen.

Sure looks to me like contemporary laser etching on the case back...

It is laser engraved. Which was not done in the Factory. So, there is that.....

NOS watches rarely survive page 1 of an OF thread. 😉

Agree that case back etching does not look right

But if it makes it to page 4, we get cat pictures, and page 6- it’s Snorkel time!::psy::

NOS is one of the most abused, and misunderstood, terms in watch collecting. Today, it is almost meaningless.
