    Hello guys,

during a general cleaning of a storage I've found an Omega watch. I don't know if it is genuine and I also don't know when it was made. It still runs and it is pretty much in a good shape. Does someone knows when it was made and an aproximate price for a watch like this?

    Best wishes

looks like someone stuffed a pocket watch movement into a wrist watch case

Not a driving watch? Omega made ones like this in the 60's or early 70's. I can make out some type of 50's era model number on the case.

Some dimensions would be handy. First guess would be a marraige watch, but the fixed lugs, and case back reference number have made me think twice.

It measures 3,55 cm in diameter if it helps. Any information about this watch would be highly appreciated. Thank you

Pw transplant IMO. Look at the font used for the Omega script on the movement, that is pre WWII. A nice piece all the same but a bitsa.

Another give away for how old the movement is is the fact that the serial is under the dial not visible the back side of the movement. The case may well be 40s or 50s but I bet the movement is 1920s or 30s at the latest and probably started life in a ladies pocket watch. The 30T2 movement was developed from just such a source I believe.

This movement, derived from the 19'´, is clearly older than the case. Omega produced many variations of this caliber model. It can be found in early wristwatches, but not with this sort if case.

So it is clearly a francken to me.

Early Omega movement. Later non Omega case. Note the attempt to remove original manufacturers logo.
