A new watch. And a new problem

Hi everyone, i just bought my new Omega aqua terra black lacquer 38mm a week ago. We fitted the bracelet and i was good to go.
In last couple of days the bracelet is hurting me so bad and i dont know what else to do.
I did try to put a link on but then the bracelet is too big , if i remove one then its too small. I did try and use the micro- adjustment but its seems to not help at all.
What else can i do?
I saw some videos about bracelet link balancing
Is it really helping?
And also, the omega logo on the clasp is not centered, is this may be the problem?

I attached some pictures of the problem im facing.

Can we see a picture of the clasp with the logo issue you mention?

In one pic you appear to be wearing the watch way up by your hand—in others it’s (more typically) further back. It’s normal for your wrist to swell and unswell as weather changes. I don’t think any of us will have the answer for you—you’ll just need to try out different configurations of links and microadjust, and also commit to where on your arm/wrist you want to wear the watch.

Sometimes a particular bracelet is just not comfortable for a particular wrist. A leather or rubber strap might work better for you. But save the bracelet in a safe place because you will want to include it when you sell the watch someday.

Yeha i can imagine. I also ordered the rubber strap with the omega patent clasp.
But, i really do love the bracelet and its frustrating that a watch this expensive and i cant get the right fit.

Would it make sense to visit either an Omega Boutique or a good watchmaker? Perhaps they can do something with the bracelet that you haven't thought about?

Fitment is always better when there's more links on the 12 o'clock side and less on the 6 o'clock. Wear the watch upside down to simulate what that fitment would be like. If it's better, have them resize it.

You can take some of the 6 o'clock links and move them to the 12 o'clock side to better center the clasp on the wrist, that often helps. It looks like whatever links were taken out to fit your wrist were taken out of one side of the bracelet only. That's the easy way for the dealer to do it, but it's not the best for the wearer.

I concur with visiting either OB or a watchmaker. I opted for a slightly looser fit on a different bracelet. Unless the watch rotates on my wrist, looser bracelet feels better for me. Your bracelet (I believe) can also pinch the wrist hair which is not pleasant either. The bracelet will get slightly looser as you wear it, but a rubber of a leather strap will solve your problems altogether. Gorgeous watch, wear in good health!

Yes, this bracelet looks great when it fits good. Probably need to have the links readjusted to better suit the wrist. But for mine, in the summer usually swap it to a sail cloth strap especially when my wrist swells. Rubber is another great option.

Be interested in what ends up working for you.

I have a bracelet that's too loose/tight. I have a little bit of sticky foam lying around so I'm going to see if I can stick that anywhere on the clasp to maybe make a difference.

That bracelet looks too tight … best is to see your dealer and get this resolved. That’s their job.

I thought the same thing. Way too tight. Needs at least 1/2 link or possibly 1 full link.

Used to own an AT with this bracelet. Could never get a good fit and ultimately sold the watch. I’d prefer an actual clasp with micro adjustment (actual micro adjustment, not omega 5mm easy link type thing which looks ugly)

People have been complaining for years about the butterfly clasp on the AT line and they still haven’t rectified it. That being said it is a pretty bracelet.

I had the same problem with my Globemaster which is why I sold it - I could never get a good fit because the bracelet doesn’t have any 1/2 links. On the other hand, I have a 2012 AT 38.5mm Skyfall and it’s one of the best bracelets that I’ve ever had - there are 1/2 links and it’s very comfortable. I actually like the butterfly clasp. It’s very classy and it’s very secure.

I wish they had a 1/2 link for this bracelet.
I did however take 2 links from 6 to 12 and i think i will add a full link to the 6 again, maybe a little bigger will be better.

Yep, the frustrating thing is Omega had the solution 25 years ago with the Seamaster bracelet. Half links (3 mm) full link (5mm)

Now with the micro adjust clasp this would solve the sizing issue of more options.

Try the full link and have it a little loose for the day time. The clasp position definitely makes an difference.

Side note, took my Speedmaster on a Panama Canal last year (100 degrees during the day) Added full link plus used the extension during the day (since no half links option) at night it was loose. In the future, will bring a rubber strap for the daytime.

We shouldn't have to do that. Throw in two half links with the bracelet and the issue would resolve itself.

I've had good luck simply moving one link from one side of the clasp to the other.
