Hi Everyone.. I just wanted to share a new acquisition. Simple 3 hand dial and layout. The case is approx 37- 38 mm in diameter not counting lugs or crown. The crown has a little star signed on tip of it.. The case is 18k yellow gold signed, has a screwback and a dust shield for the movement. Oh the movement that is the best part its appears to be a VZSSC. This movement was used by AP, PP and Gubelin and possibly a few others... I have seen a few of these in 35 mm snap back cases but one this size and a screwback case .... I just wanted to share. Good Hunting Bill Sohne
Very nice indeed, I'm guessing these are probably on par with the Calatravas of the era at a much more approachable price?
shhhhhhh.... that is out little secrete ! But seriously... its a lot of watch for the money. I have one from Gubelin a Jubilee model but with a redial at 36 mm in a snap back case. I later found a AP in 35 mm gold snap back.... But when I came across a 37 mm screwback ! I nearly lost it and of course it was not a straight purchase had to use a piece from my collection as " TRADE BAIT" .... or I would have not gotten the watch... The size and case construction is the bomb here .... the dial has a rub mark or two... totally in line with the condition of the rest of the watch... and just a FYI i have a 8 inch wrist....
