My wife has been waiting patiently for a De Ville that she's had her eyes on for more than a year. We were invited by our local OB to attend a wine tasting event last night, and the watch she's been wanting was part of a special display. After we looked at it again (like an old friend) and had a nice chat with the Boutique manager, some other guests took an interest in the watch and asked that it be removed from the case so a lady could try it on. Watching intently from across the room, I thought my wife was going to have a tantrum of some kind. She began whispering to me, "I can't believe it! They're looking at MY watch! We need to stop them somehow!" I was able to calm her down after the watch went back in the case, and we went out to dinner.

This morning I reflected on the events of last night, and I decided that she's waited long enough. So we have a new member of the house collection ...


My wife is thrilled. And now I have official permission to start saving for a Speedy!

After my wife had been staring at my watch collection over the years, I’ve always try to convince her to let me buy her one, but she always said no. Well this Deville caught her eye last year around July 2018, so I grabbed it for her. Great piece.
