I just happened to see these two for the first time today. Their prices, to my novice eye, seem to be a bit optimistic.
Granted the asking price is too high but, except for the Seamaster bracelet and newer crown, it does appear correct. Dial, hands, bezel, movement number, case, pushers seem ok to me.
Yeah the laugh had nothing to do with the actual watch. Simply that it was priced at 2x what it should have been.
Ha! Not exactly. The '68 was $9998 when I posted the link. So now it's "35% off" of $12,999. So a bargain price of only $8,124.
He must work for ShopNBC's marketing department. ......oh, and Hey, is this another Speedmaster thread? Imagine that!
Went ahead and picked up the 2998. Probably a little overpriced, but I think will be good value in the near future. Pics when it arrives! PS. a lot of room for negotiation obviously, so feel free to haggle over the other pieces if something caught your interest. PPS. Thanks to Marc for his help here @gemini4
Well done! I was happy to give @kidkimura my honest opinion on this 2998. BTW, Did I mention Tuesday is my heavy drinking day.
Congrats ! This 2998 is a nice and honest watch. I'm a little surprised it took so long to sell : there is a HUGE demand for 2998's...
