    I'm no expert, but that sure looks aftermarket. "Yep, lets slap some paint on the end of the hands - yeah, that will do. Drop some blobs here by the hour markers..."

    I think that someone wanted his PP to be more usable when going to the theatre, sitting in the dark.

    ...And probably got the seconds dial touched a bit up at the same time?

    So the real question I guess is what it does to value - if it were an Omega it would trash the value, but being a Patek... I'm guessing still far more than both my cars combined would be worth.

    oh no doubt it's hideous as is - but I am sure the case and movement have some not insignificant value.

    Yea I awfullize ... low ball city then look for a dial. Hands look like a careful scrape and polish would set em right. Hard to imagine someone would do this to a Patek!

    I think it's an ugly redial, and probably a clumsy replacement crown too. If it went cheap though, you could have it brought back to it's former glory at PP.

    The thought of a watchmaker dipping those dauphine hands in luminous paint still makes me shudder.
