Evening all, it's been 6 months since I acquired my Longines Master Collection Moonphase - my first 'proper' watch. Since then I've picked up a Tudor Black Bay Blue thanks to my very generous wife on our wedding day and a grubby but much loved Speedmaster 145.022-69 Straight Writing.

The Speedmaster reduced was purchased before I bought the moonwatch and in hinesight was something I didn't really need, I'm still deciding whether to keep it or not but it's a lovely watch and cost me the best part of £500 to service so it seems silly to sell it without some enjoyment(!).

Although a comparatively modest and unimpressive 'collection', I'm very happy with what I have acquired so far and love having the option of which watch to wear each morning. I've enjoyed the learning process and reading the forum to gain more knowledge.

Currently saving hard in the hope of picking up something else for Christmas.

    Have a good weekend.

The hardest part is not buying every watch as soon as you see it. Enjoy your watches :)

    Looking good.

This collection sounds similar to what I have too haha, two longines and two omegas, where my first proper watch started off with the Longines Master Collection Retrograde Moonphase ;)

quit fishing for compliments! :):);) !!!

If you add a 36 to 39mm YG, RG or WG dress watch into the mix then you've a just about perfect set with no uncovered bases.

Best part is you don't need to break the bank for a dress watch. You can find a sweet mid 60' s IWC, Longines or UG 3 hand-er for $1700 or so dollars. If it turns out that you don't like it, you can always flip it. Who knows, you might even make a couple or 20 bucks?

Good start to a collection. A dress watch would fit right in.

Man, this thread has been resurrected from 9 years ago and Ben hasn’t been seen for almost 3 years. Hope he’s good.

Yes, our new friend’s posts are very questionable.

Edit: Besides the random pictures of new in box watches also includes two wrist shots with clearly different arms involved. :whistling:

Thread title really sounded like a “…walk into a bar” joke.

HAHAHA the post farming of the comments that resurrected this thread really had me scratching my head.

I have no idea what you mean. The arms look completely the same to me, just photographed during two different seasons. ;)
