On a serious note, if your balcony is waist deep in snow, and your drains are on the floor of the balcony, and I assume snow melts from the top, where does all of the water go?

Global warming!
Exactly. More atmospheric moisture to fall when it gets cold. <Ducks>

Current temperature here is about 70F or 22C

We call this Chamber of Commerce weather.

After you dig out, come on down. We need your money here.

Yeah, and that´s not even a joke.... We spent 2 weeks in December in Florida, whereof 5 nights on Miami South Beach between Christmas and New Year, at a 3 star hotel, and it was 450$ a night 😲

Lovely climate, though! 👍

Who told you to stay there? Can't imagine going near South Beach during the holidays. Ft. Lauderdale is half the price and just as nice.

$20/hour parking?

No, thank you! 😎

What's wrong with you?

Nature provides a perfect walk-in chiller for cold beers and bubbly right at your door and you bitch about it!

😁

Indeed - drifts are great for cooling down the beers:

And we don't complain unless the snow gets really deep here:

Unless you live in Toronto where the mayor calls in the army for a snowstorm...::facepalm1::

Cheers, Al 😀

Couldn't agree more. Parking was just as hysterically expensive as the accomodation. It was the only time, too, that we had to use valet parking, on the whole trip.

We actually stayed in Ft Lauderdale by the Sea a few nights in the beginning of the trip, and I must say that I did like Ft Lauderdale best of the places we visited. NB, we saw only the southern part of Florida, Ft Lauderdale, Miami, Naples (with surrounding areas) and Key West

Brilliant picture of the train in the snow, here in England if I there's a few leaves on the track the whole network shuts down for a week. Oh and the first whiff of snow and everyone abandons their cars at jaunty angles.
In Canada you guys just get on with it.

Maybe I'll have a dram when I get home from work. Hey, Ed, it's snowing, again!
