I debated with myself whether this should go in the "High-End" watch forum, and decided that IWC probably shouldn't, though others might disagree. In any case, another of the wonderful photos from my collection which @Optimizer13 took a couple of weeks ago during a visit.

Make sure to click on the image for the high-resolution photo.

Beautiful examples. I have what is almost certainly the same reference as Adam's gold watch, albeit without the Arabic numerals.

These are very high quality watches, and have no real weaknesses that I can discern. Some of the gold models feature the highest-quality embossing (of the markers) that I have ever seen.

    My lone IWC left - a 1966 18ct ultra-thin turtle lug reference 1210 caliber 401:

EDIT - the caliber 401 is the ultra-thin version of the caliber 89.

Ahhh, such beautiful watches from you guys!

@adam78 , not just lovely watches, but lovely pics from @Optimizer13 too

Here's my only cal 89, which used to belong to 2 other members on this thread (guys, I'm looking after this one for my grandson!)

Still looking for a SS 36mm cal 89 with arabic 3,6,9,12 dial like Adam's... the hunt goes on!

I think three members -- I was the first on that one, and I still regret selling it...but as long as it stays in your collection for your grandson, I can live with that!

Yes, Nigel is the 4th. As mentioned above, it's still my most regrettable flip too.

I'm indeed privileged then - 3 very esteemed members before me
I'm pretty much a white metal kinda guy, and this is the only RG watch I have, but I love it dearly. ::love::

Lovely thread here. It's always gratifying to see IWCs featuring the caliber 89 movement.

I need to take an updated photo of mine.

Lovely c89 Yacht Club - mine (which I wear daily) is the traditional c8541 version but as a keen collector of vintage IWC I am still looking for a nice gold c89 as a keeper. I particularly like cicindela's turn in lug model and Tony's is a a real cracker with the absence of Arabic numerals.
