Hello all - I am new to Omega having been a Breitling guy for years. Love my Planet Ocean and am looking to pick up a pre-owned Seamaster 300 Chrono. Is there anything to the Seamaster logo in red? Does that signify a newer model? Also could you steer me to a source to help with the numbers on Omegas. Because I am new to the brand I have not cracked the codes.
    Much thanks for the help!

Yeah I probably wasn't too clear on my question. I am looking at various watches on eBay and often the date of manufacture is not listed. I may have been able to answer my own question as it appears the model number 2599.80 is older than a 2225.80. Still trying to decipher the codes - thanks for responding!
