Please help me finish this list of Omega watch lines. I am sure there are a few mistake. Also most of the intro dates are missing. I was inspired to do this when I read this "RESTRUTURATION OF OMEGA 1982-1988"
Unfortunately it in French so I used google translate.
    http://www.samo-bienne.ch/fr/historique/temoignages
" At that time, the OMEGA collection consisted of
Standard and Gold collections. The Standard collection, believe it
or not, included 75 product lines, 5000 enclosure references
(by reference of case, 5 to 10 different dials) and 250 variants of
movements. Regarding the Gold collection, it offered practically
    same picture."

    http://www.samo-bienne.ch/sites/def...ds/restructuration_domega_-episode_2_de_3.pdf

75 product lines! Is this correct that there where 75 lines? I assume they mean a line is a model family like Seamaster 300 and Seamaster 600 with many references of that model family, different case materials, dial colors, straps and so on.

If it true my list is missing quite a few line. I also need help on defining what a line is.
The list below was taken from multiple source on the web and is missing many introduction dates not to mention model lines themselves

    Wow!
I'm more used to the " what's this worth" questions!

May I ask how you would place the lower graph within the 75 lines?

Shouldn't this be a traditional "tree" starting with Mr. Brandt's bench?

Marine is a line, is the Naiad a sub-branch of marine?

You show the modern 4 categories but I would be puzzled as to how you fit these 4 into the 75.

Get ready for some opinions , my friend!

    Interesting post!

Just wanted to do a list of the Model lines. Was not planning to do a graph. Do to the fact that the list mixes vintage, discontinued lines and present day line. I am open to suggestion though. Is lines really the correct term?

I would say "featured models" but your post has some really interesting ideas.

A fanatic could probably construct a graph,... I drink too much.

What about a separate one for speedmaster and Seamaster LEs and then one for the really limited watches produced in less than 100 examples?

    Hmmm...

    Interesting assignment....

You can combine both a List of models , plus you might want to show models lineage ...

Like the Speedmaster line is actually a decendent of the Seamasters ... etc... just a thought.

    Looking forward to your progress.

    Good Hunting

You need to find a way to deal with the early Centenary - 14311 - Constellation - Globemaster group VS the modern lines. The Manhattan needs to be separated out as well.

    What about:

    Acribes - 1930s
    Alcaios - 1940
    Argos - 1930s
    Dedalos - 1930s
    Euroos - 1933
    Foibos - 1933
    Filenios - 1930s
    Firmus - 1930s
    T17 - 1930s

These were all predominately for the European market and marketed as specific models, specifically in Italy.

Maybe you could rationalise the Speedmaster "lines" into:-

    Manual Wind Speedmasters

    Automatic Speedmasters

    "Reduced" Speedmasters

    Electronic/Quartz Speedmasters

And another couple of suggestions for inclusion, however you finally organise - the Speedmaster Speedsonic and the Marine Chronometer 1974

T17 is the caliber ref, not a line, even in Italian catalogs. In my understanding, to qualify as a ‘line’ a name needs to designate more than a single model. For example, Marine was attributed to three different models, Naiad also covered different models. That’s not the case for St Christophe, Armure or the Euroos, Foibos etc italian market names (and probably hundreds of names like troubadour etc... not to mention women’s watches), so I wouldn’t qualify them as lines.
    But that’s just my opinion.

You maybe can add the Titane line.

The "Titane" designation imho only really applies to the ultra-rare autos like this one which I think has the ref. 5800.40
    Polaris Auto.jpg
Or maybe this, which may be a "Teutonic" and whose reference I have no clue about (note - "Titan" not "Titane")
    Titan.jpg
and the less rare chronos (one of which I have) ref. TR/TB 378.0885.
    Titane on wood.jpg
The Omega database has the chrono as a Polaris, which is probably the natural home for the autos as well
