    Stopped by the ALS boutique in NYC yesterday, and had the chance to try the following pieces on:

    Datograph Pt: ::love::

    and Lange 1 WG:

    Here the family shot:

    All in all, beautiful pieces and my fave was definitely the Datograph, but the Odysseus was a close second. The Lange 1 is also a gorgeous piece, but too “dressy” for my lifestyle.
    Also wanted to mention how warm the welcome was by the staff there, all while I was really dressed casually and all. Left with a great impression about the brand. :thumbsup:

    Real nice craftsmanship, details are out standing!
    Have you watched Youtube, a tour of German Watchmaking?
    Love that video.
    Watch & liststen to the Gentelman giving the tour!
    I am extremly jealous, would love that tour.
    Glashutte original.
    A Lange & Sohne is right up there, can't afford one.
    But if I had one I would wear it and enjoy.
    For what it is worth, the older German machinest are 2nd to none.
    On tours through the German factories the Japanese, would stop to marvel at them just filing a block of steel.

    The Datograph, original version especially, is a mesmerizing watch.
    That Darth, wow that’s also a real beauty.

    New in, and an FYI on some Lange 1 scholarship.

    A 101.022 with an "early MIG" dial. Here's an article that goes through the Lange 1 (101 series) dials to show that there are early and late dials, and a not insignificant number of watches with early serials have later dials, likely from being replaced at service. Additional details that it doesn't mention are that the date window finish also changes (from a smooth, rounded window to a flat edged window with chamfers), and that a subsection of the earliest MIG dials with transparent casebacks also have different caseback engravings. Some things to watch out for when buying.
