Thanks everyone!
Fantastic photos. I'm sure this thread will be bookmarked by many people. Reference photo gold!
I didn't quite think of that and that would be great indeed! Happy to help out anyone who has questions. Moonwatch Only and the websites of @Spacefruit (Speedmaster101) and @ndgal (Chronoholic) are very helpful ofcourse, but there are always new things to learn (like the flat hesalite crystal).

Two weeks on the wrist and enjoying every minute of it!

Wonderful example and seconding the compliments of the photos in the OP.

I鈥檝e been thinking of picking up my camera again and exploring product photography for fun with my watches; I鈥檓 curious, were all the photos in the OP taken utilizing natural light only? Or did you augment it with any additional light sources?

Thank you for the kind words! I鈥檝e taken the photos with my iPhone 12 Pro, so nothing fancy. The macro photos were taken with my iPhone 10 and a Moment 10x macro lens. This lens is mounted on a special phone case, that鈥檚 why I used my older iPhone. With the 2x lens you get the proper macro photos (20x magnification).

I use natural light at my living room window. All macros were taken with bright sun light. You need a lot of light to make such photos, as you get more in focus with a tight aperture. The downside of the Moment lens is that you have to get really close to the subject so you create shadows on the subject. So it鈥檚 a lot of trial and error. It鈥檚 a cheap way of creating nice shots though (if you discard the value of the phone).

Beautiful watch, spectacular photos.
It seems that your steps in vintage are anything but uncertain.
Be careful: once it has bitten you it will never let go.
congratulations

This week I received the "For your watch only" book from Watchfid. This book belongs to this particular watch and contains general info and the points given to each element of this 105.012-66 HF. So all photos in the book are of the actual watch! A really nice touch and as far as I know, also the only company who does this.

I bought the 1501 box and warranty booklet (dated 10/1966) from Ebay to get a feeling of how it was in the sixties. Luckily these offers were not expensive as some other crazy offers I have seen online. It was cheap because the warrany booklet was missing the final page with the serial etc, but that's ok as it would not match this watch anyway.
