goudaville
·I've acquired only a couple watches this year and this one certainly means the most: a novelty Garfield watch from the 1970s. I got it in honor of my orange tabby Gouda, who had to be put down a couple years ago. I miss him and wanted to get a mechanical watch in his honor and found this on ebay, which came with the original box. I swapped the cheap plastic blue strap it came with for a leather one.
It's been a nice reminder of him and of the fact that a watch (or any other possession, really) doesn't need to be expensive to be meaningful. If anybody else has a watch they got for an animal friend, I'd love to see them. Cheers and happy holidays OF.
