Not a very common reference but as is typical for omega - lots of case and dial variations. Love the symmetry without the date window. And hopefully illustrate why I preach about condition every chance I get! 18k rose gold with dome rose gold dial: 14k YG with piepan YG dial: 18k YG with deluxe piepan dial - unique since the center area of the dial is in a mirror finish rather than the typical matte finish: 14k gold-cap with dome black dial: 14k gold-cap with train track dial And my favorite: 18k YG with train track dial - the nicest train track dial omega I have ever seen - comes with the original strap and buckle (extra photo of the back with the tarnish intact ):
Yes I too like the 14381 very much, as you say lots of variation to collect. During a period of temporary madness I sold my two best examples on, don´t know what I was thinking about now!
The one you sold me has gone to a good home - Don't know whether it came into the "two best examples" category though. I like to think so - it's a beautiful watch.
Wow, nice collection, train track dial is my favourite too. None of the above, but inspired to arrange to see a grand luxe next week, with view to buy, may have to consult the experts here first before pulling trigger.
Not a match for MSNWatch' lovely collection (that train track..!), here's my crisp 14K gold capped 14381 with dome dial and crosshairs. Full set as well. Compared to my 168.005, this is a clear favourite, due to the more substantial lugs and facetted bezel.
As I am wearing it today I have to pitch in here - rose 18k. Just a couple of numbers apart from the one cristos71 used to have (shown above).
