Longines has some really beautiful, if not the most beautiful buckles of the 50’s and 60’s.

I happened to have the whole family together recently, and somehow, not through any intention of my own, these three buckles ended up hangin’.. really!

Although my first few vintage pieces were Omegas (a fine '54 Connie and a '58 Seamaster), my first 'extended' collection became Longines.

A few years ago, when Dennis, our sometimes beloved, sometimes despised Longines expert and long-time resident squirrel decided to release many of his, I was in a position to nab many of his 'shiny little objects'.

Over the next number of years, I've added a few more.

This morning, as I was pilferring the Longines for some straps, I realized it was also an opportunity to gather the beautiful Lon-Fam for some long-overdue group shots... and share them here:

    Killer collection Doug.
What else has such beautiful backsides! (Let's see photos)
I only have one Lawnjeans, an Admiral I got for nuthin', but next to Omega, Longines and JLC are my favorite brands.
Happy Holidays to you, Doug, and to my Philly phavorite if he happens to drop by!

    My favorite of your buckles.

That black Conquest is missing a strap, just send it over and I’ll install one for free :whistling:

    Thanks, loads, bro !

It would be quite fun if somehow the squirrel could scurry over here for a bit ... I do know where he hides sometimes on Instagram, though :cautious:...:)

They had some killer case backs in th day.

Whilst @dougiedude was nabbing "shiney little objects" there was a member or two helping once word got out. :D

My focus was on the not so shiney SS models. Picking up a few, this was seen in a group shot but was on the no sell pile.

    Few weeks of pestering PMs

I echo the case back sentiment!

I’m also fond of the buckles. Need one to match my Flagship.

    Sw-ww-ee-ee-tt !

I think you pestered the crazy squirrel just enough! He told me that one was already spoken for when I asked about SS, if I remember correctly...:cautious:

I actually prefer SS, too, so I’m likely to release a handful of gold, ‘shiney little objects’ once I get the wherewithall to post ‘em up proper...

That one is such a beauty! One of a few that I was insane (more than the usual) to let go..
I’m so glad it’s with you and I still get to see it!

Wow... very nice collection, both watches and buckles. I also got sucked into the wonderful world of vintage Longines since Christmas day last year, when I purchased my first. I now have... 22... if I didn't miscount.
