The detail is absolutely incredible, only just noticed the JDN on the right hand bridge and the N7 on the left, is that number 7 of the series?

The book was a coffee table book which was just photographs of two independent watchmakers....Daniel Roth and Philippe Dufour. Daniel sent me the book as a Christmas gift while I was waiting for the watch to be built. It is signed by him and he is the only watchmaker that worked on this watch. It is number 7 of the series but to the best of my knowledge it is the first Platinum Round case that he built.

Here are some photos of my visit to his home and workshop...

I'm at a lost for words . I love that he used nickle silver for the plates . It such a classy metal , no plating nessesary . Truly old school .

I think I would trade a kidney ,to spend a year in the shop with Mr Roth .

Is the wheel on the roof part of a lathe or something?

It looks to me as if its foot operated. A system of wheels and pulleys connected to a foot pedal. Probably for more control over the speed ?.

The one word that comes to mind when seeing this watch: proper.

Thanks for sharing, Rob!
