It was the year 1685 when Louis XIV “le Roi-Soleil”...

It is said that a liqueur was made in his honor, a liqueur that later became famous in the world as the Liqueur Royale de France: the Chambord.

It is produced with raspberries and blackberries, which give it its characteristic violet color, with the addition of Madagascar vanilla, Morocco citrus peel and honey which are then mixed with the best quality cognac.

Possibly inspired by the characteristic warm color of that liqueur, Cyma made his Chambord, probably one of the last watches before the sale to Chronos Holding (Cyma-Synchron).

Here it is, a 33mm steel ingot

But it is on the wrist that its wonderful reflections can be appreciated

As a curiosity, Simca produced the Chambord in the 60s

I'm afraid I can't resist posting one of the Sun King's own clocks, the Horloge de Morand.

    Now that's what I call a complication!
