My first reaction. All those employees who were laid off before their retirement vested and never got their watch.

Actually it seems like one of the more diffucult collections to curate. A lot of estate sales to visit ...

My theory is this guy liked Omega's, was with the company during all this time and bought the watches of those who were willing to sell

He was probably the go-to guy for those wanting to sell theirs 😀

Weird collection ... creeps me out. The guy must have been a parasite, latching onto each recent retiree and making offers on their watches.

As a fellow parasite, I'm a bit offended 😁

In all seriousness, whenever I see a collection, and feel the way you feel, I get a glimpse of how some of my friends and family members feel as well, becoming a "collector" and identifying as one, definitely alienated a lot of people around me - best to be as incognito as possible I guess

If we judge a fellow collector, and a hyper focused one at that, it's only natural to get judged
