Recently bought a DSLR, (first one I've had) I've given up trying to catch a nice picture of the kids and had to resort to a subject that seems happy to sit still! Just spotted the typo in the title, you can't edit that!
Always loved blck and white, I believe that good colours can distract from the image whereas a b&w image has to stand on its own merits. Hope my thoughts are clear enough. Btw nice shot Matt, now that avatar have I seen you somewhere before ?
Thanks Alpha, your quite right. This was taken sat on my kitchen worktop this morning, I initially took it in colour and it looked very average at best but in black and white I think it made my very novice attempt look a little better. Note my hand in the face!! Not really had chance to get to grips with the camera yet. Re the avatar, I feel the mods may well have had an input with that!! But I can't complain.
