I've been looking for one of these for a long time. Thought I had it. Unfortunately, someone beat me to it. Nice looking piece though. http://www.wannabuyawatch.com/indpages/43979.html
You are correct, they do have heavy premiums. It was offered to me at $4795 inclusive of shipping. Too much? Probably. But I was willing to bite the bullet on this one, but it was already sold. Worked out well in the end. Found a Heuer 3646 I had been looking for later that day at a far more acceptable price.
To the contrary. That came from the original source. Sounds as if this one is still developing, but no <intentional> shenanigans afoot.
It is an anonymous Valjoux 23 - correct type of movement, but not UG-signed as it should be in this model, and indeed, disclosure was made by seller. Watch evidently not opened before being posted, but no intent to deceive
Wow, would have thought they would have opened it up for verification. Or.... maybe they did. Hmmmmm. Thought it was correct perhaps. Everyone makes mistakes, that is for sure. Good dealer! Wayne
What's the correct movement? I've got a Steve Racine "enicaR" with a Valjoux 23...similar watch (IMHO the enicar looks better) and worth nowhere near 4800. 1480 or 480 but not 4800 /jealous!?
Based on my dealings with the dealer, I think you're correct. My impression was they had just gotten it and put it up for sale and it sold real quick. Glad I missed now.
To be fair to the dealer, he did mention the possibility of a non original movement when I contacted him on my interest.
